Susan Kandra has served on the Friends of the Children board since 2001. A retired teacher, having taught in both Klamath City and Klamath County School Districts, her interest in Friends of the Children began when the chapter was established in 2000. She attended the startup board meetings and participated in selecting children at Fairhaven Elementary School, one of the initial host schools for the program. Susan served as board secretary for twelve years and co-chaired the annual Friend Raiser event two consecutive years. Presently, she serves on the Executive and Finance Committees and remains an active board member in all aspects of the program.
