Staff: Lazard Ulysse

Lazard Ulysse is a committed youth mentor born in Gressier, Haiti, and raised by his aunt. He holds an associate degree in law from Haiti and brings over eight years of experience dedicated to community service and youth development. After immigrating to the United States in 2023 and surviving human trafficking along his journey, Lazard continued his service-driven path by working as a bus driver for Klamath City Schools before joining Friends of the Children. He is passionate about building consistent, long-term relationships with youth, helping them grow in confidence, life skills, and vision for a successful future. Lazard is known for his compassion, cultural awareness, Perseverance and resilience, which guide his work with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, learning, crafting, playing soccer, and spending quality time with friends and family.
