Why One Local Couple Gives

"We believe in the program's ability to create generational change."

Even with four busy children, Scott and Cassi Stevens make it a priority to give time and treasure to Friends-Klamath Basin. Why do they do it?

"As a healthcare professional and as an educator, we have first-hand experiences in this community and with the glaring disparity between the haves and the have-nots. We believe the program offered by Friends is truly unique in that it supports not only a child, but also their family, for the long-haul of their entire adolescence. It allow for true, lasting relationships and we believe in the program's ability to create generational change. It tells children that our community cares about them, and they will in return learn to care about their community."
